Hello from northern Wisconsin. Just got our new Cougar half ton travel trailer. We pull it with a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500. New to the trailer world.

Sir, that ain't a model. I have a Cougar and its model is 278EFS. The model will help folks answer your questions so put all this in a signature with year, make and model of your camper as well as the same for your tow vehicle.
