Norcold 1210T

Having issues with my fridge. Started out with fridge going to 48-50 degrees and freezer at 15-20 degrees. Tech replaced the thermositor and it went to 30-32 in fridge and the outside temp was cold during this spell as well. As soon as it warmed up outside the fridge went to 48-50 again. Tech replaced the fan thermostat outside because fans not operating and got them going. I never heard fans run since I purchased the unit. Again though I have freezer working well and the fridge at a disappointing 48-50. Any suggestions??? The tech suggested a new cooling system called a Omish unit for a price of $2300.00 installed in my Norcold Unit. Anyone heard of this before? Any help would be much appreciated...

Unless your a dry camper, go with a residential fridge. I am not a Norcold fan.

Search the forum. There has been a lot of good discussion in this topic. Everything from adding fans to relocating the thermostat.

Amish Cooling Unit

I caved in even with full warranty and purchased a Amish Cooling Unit and had it installed. All the dealer wanted to do was pull it out of cabinet and move it 45 degrees two different directions for a supposed fix. Really! Good news is no more frustration and agony. Heard of many happy people with same results. I highly recommend this remedy...It's never worked so well. Cost was $2200.00 installed. With both units sitting side by side there is a very notable difference in workmanship and quality. The Amish unit has twice as many tubes and heavier gauge as well. A friend that suggested it to me has had his since 2007 with no issues. That speaks a lot to me. Wished I had taken pictures that would have said enough...Any questions feel free to contact me...

With your new cooling unit, it would be good insurance to also install an ARP device to protect it from off level issues. We have had an ARP device for several years now and it turns off the fridge if the boiler of the cooling unit gets too hot. https://www.arprv.com/
