Montana, feeling let down.

I just bought a 2017 Montana model 3661RL in April. I have always thought Montana's were a cut above most 5th wheels, but I am on my third RV trip in my new Montana. I am currently in North Alabama and it is July and the outside temperature is in the 90's, but my 2 air conditioners run all day and yesterday my inside temperature hit 90. Is this normal for a 2017 Montana? I would really appreciate someone from Keystone to step up and defend your product. Thanks in advance for your reply. Benny Horne Yatesville, GA

Do a search for AC fix. Several threads about fixing collapsed ducts, vent covers restricting air flow. Most have fixed these things and have improved performance. Not all have had these problems, but it does seem that there are quite a few that have.

Since that is now taken care of, now is the time to take off your vents and inside a/c cover and use Foil tape and tape all the ducts and plenum intake and return and see if things cool off better.

And as stated above, this is a Keystone owners forum. Keystone the company does not participate in it.

Just overhauled the vents and replaced the covers with adjustable ones. I found and corrected a lot of air leaks and now the units put out considerable more air than before.

My Montana keeps up if started early in the AM. All blinds are down by 11AM as well. Only 1 vent in bath but will freeze you out ~~ need to get a replacement that can adjust. Tried once and need to again as it may have helped ~~ Put the bedroom AC on dump with a fan in the hallway blowing into the living area. Need to monitor that next time. Having slide toppers installed now. They helped on my Cougar.

Also.... On the thermostat adjust your "Fan" speed to medium or high to help push the cold air through the duct-work.
