Cooper Discoverer HTP. My understanding is that these tires are only available through Discount Tire and only in some regions. I have 30k miles on them now and am very happy. I used to only run Michelin LTX tires, have used both the AT and MS. I like the Coopers better than the Michelins, they balance better, are quieter, and almost $100 per tire cheaper. That saves me nearly $600 per set and based on current wear, I'll get very similar mileage from them. I'm sold on Cooper tires.

Truck came with Continentals that lasted ~50K, the next were Firestone HT which were only good for about 35K and would spin uncontrollably on a damp highway centerline. I went the optional size up from the OEM 275/65x18 to the Michelin Defender 275/70x18 and gained 225 pounds capacity per tire. So far at about 15,000 miles, about 1/32nd wear, mostly pulling our 5er. Unfortunately, they ride like the truck is on iron wheels even with ~10 psig less air pressure. Quietly though

Good to hear.. I was actually thinking of swapping them for some summer tires and putting them back on when winter shows up again. BUT, i love how yhey handle in the rain, especially heavy rain, so Nope!! staying on truck

I've had several sets of Yoko's on cars and previous pickups but these were loud and killed my gas mileage on an F150. Sold them at a loss and went to their G056 All Season. Hope they do the job for your needs as Yokohama's are a good tire.

Great thread. I can't wait for our stock Goodyear P-metric tires to wear out so the can be replaced with a E-load LT tire. Thinking the BFG AT KO2 as reports note they wear well on 1/2 ton trucks. Not so well on 3/4 or 1 tons. Or maybe the Hankook DynaPro AT-M or Falken Wildpeak AT's...

I'm still mad at myself. When I bought my 2015 Sierra, I had the dealer swap the 20 inch tires for 18 inch, but still with the Goodyear SRA's. I should have done better tires then.

They are working, but I'm still kicking myself.

I have Nitto Terra Grappler EXOs. These tires are great for mud, rain, terrain and highway. They are not pure off road but aggressive enough for most situations. Very quiet on the highway for such an aggressive tire and amazing in the rain.

I run those too and really like them, but keep an eye on 'em. If the ride starts to get a little rough, check tires for tread separation. It's happened on two of them to me.

When ordered I checked the box for AT tires and got Michelin LTX AT2 I feel there are not really agressive enough to be called an AT tire Performance on ice and snow sucks IMO. The Explorer needs new tires before snow flies and will probably go with the LTX Defender just because of their M&S rating. Most of the small trucks in the fleet where I work run Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac ATs. These are really durable and suprisingly quiet on paved roads and I would not be opposed to put those on the truck when the AT2s wear out
