Hello from Vancouver, WA - New 238MLWE

Been lurking for a month or so. Great forum. Thanks everyone for the great tips and advice so far!!

We purchased a 2016 Passport 238MLWE and hauled it home ~12 miles with our 2014 Durango V6. Didn't spend much time thinking about it before I traded the Durango for a 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. Miss the Durango but man I'm glad to be back in a truck! Anyway, maiden voyage this weekend to Gifford national forest and we couldn't be more excited. Short trip, about 60 miles so should be a good test for the rig. My oldest son (5yo) and I have "camped out" in the driveway a couple times and we've yet to find anything wrong with the trailer since PDI which were only a couple minor cosmetic issues. Looking forward to many years of making memories with this thing.

Awesome! We looked for months and the 238 fit our family better than anything in it's weight/price class. Love it. Only mods so far are LED swap out and secured bunk rails and ladder for the kiddos. Oh and the roof patch fun this weekend (see my last post). Hope to find some money laying around for 6V batteries, solar, and inverter one of these days. Long dry camp beach adventure coming up will probably convince me to save up for next season.

to the forum and the PNW. We have lived in WA for 30 years and have been traveling with the trailer for the past 2 years. We just did a four day trip to Cape Disappointment. It is a beautiful state park on the coast. So far, the only state park in western WA that we would not recommend, is Paradise Point. We nick named it, "planes, trains, and automobiles." The Tacoma power parks are all great. Enjoy!
