2013 Hideout with Jensen DVD no sound at TV.

Hi,

I can't get sound from the DVD player to the TV. The sound only comes out the ceiling speakers. That's fine for family watching but after the kids goto bed I shut off the ceiling speakers and spun the TV to the bedroom. No sound from the TV speaker at all. I checked the connections and the Red and White RCA are plugged into the audio input on the TV. So it must be a setting on the TV or the Jensen head unit.

Does anyone know how I can get sound from the TV speaker?

The Jensen is model AWM965 and Legacy TV.

Thanks.

After lots of searching I found out that the Jensen AWM965 does NOT have an audio out signal that can be ran to the TV. It was a design flaw that they fixed for the next model.

I will come up with a plan B, no big deal.

You might consider a small rechargeable sound bar. Velcro it to the wall under the TV in the bedroom side (or even to the bottom of the TV) and use it when you need some quiet time for sleeping kids.

Sounds like ( pun intended) like the TV settings has the speakers "off". Simply go into the TV settings and turn the speakers to "on". If you want to do this one time, then use the radio remote to adjust sound level as I suspect you currently are doing. Leve the TV sound level at zero.

When you watch the TV in the bedroom then leave the radio off and use the TV remote to adjust the volume.
