Keystone Rally or get-together???

I was thinking it would be nice to get with most of the Alpine owners to compare notes, mod's, etc... Then thought about, why not all Keystone RV's and take advantage of everyone's knowledge. Somewhere in the middle US to make it fair to all. Has this been done before? Neat idea if it hasn't been done yet. Just a suggestion. Thanks

I think it would be pretty hard to get a nationwide thing together. Its hard enough here in Virginia to get 20 families together let alone across the nation. But you could give it a try. Best to PM other Alpine owners and see what they think, or start an Alpine community on this forum if there isn't one already. JMHO.

Oklahoma sounds good to me. I could be there in about 8 hours driving from south Texas.

I may be wrong here, but dont think so. Keystone doesn't have a "central plant" that produces all the Keystone products. They are spread out over a very large area. So, doing "factory tours" at the Cougar plant may not be interesting for a Montana owner, etc. Like some others have said, I like Mikell's idea. A campground that is managed by a forum member would give us an "inside track" to getting someone who comprehends what a Keystone Ralley would entail. We may be able to get a Keystone representative with "factory approval" for all the Keystone brands to attend, give some talks about what is coming from Keystone and possibly help resolve some issues that owners have with Keystone. Heck, maybe, like Airstream or Holiday Rambler, the factory may even offer a tech team to help work on (or give guidance) about problems owners are having.

I like the idea of a Ralley and SW Michigan/North Indiana may be as good a place as any.

When we had a Jayco we went to a Jayco Rally in Indiana about 10 years ago. We had a great time! It was sponsored by the company, they had tours of the plant, seminars on how to maintain your unit, entertaiment and meals in the evening, and factory technicians would come out to the campground and fix your unit. If I remeber correctly we just had to pay for the parts. The RV Museum was real close and we were able to tour the museum. Might want to contact the company and see if they are willing to help.

Question Regional or Area Rally??

For those of you who are interested in organizing or possibly attending a rally for Keystone owners, have you considered a regional rally as opposed to a country-wide one? Since we are scattered from one coast to the other and several thousand miles apart, you might get more people willing and able to attend a rally that was easier, quicker, closer and cheaper to attend.
Members in the western states and especially those on the coast might not be as keen to travel all the way across the country to attend a gathering on the east coast - and vice versa.
If you were to consider 2 or 3 regions or areas, it would make it much easier for people to attend and not have to travel so far.
You could, for example, have (1) a West Coast or Western region, (2) a Central region, and (3) an East Coast or Eastern rally.
There are a number of other regional possibilities but I think this concept would increase the likelihood of at least one such rally taking place. Starting small with a regional rally has its benefits rather than trying to organize a get-together for widely-scattered members.

These regional get-togethers could also rotate on a yearly basis depending upon interest. Next year for example, there might be a rally for one of the regions, the year after a rally for a different region and so on. Something to think about.

Whatever format works out best, it would require one member to step forward and volunteer to organize the event - not a small task!
