New guy from SW Idaho
The wife And I just purchased our first travel trailer
2019 Keystone Bullet 261 RBSWE.
We bought it Saturday, and will pick it up later this week. We plan to tow it with my 2015 Ram 1500 bighorn quad cab 5.7L 8 sp./ 3.21 Axle
We are taking a giant leap having just sold our 1400 sq ft home. We will be staying in the trailer until June when we plan to move cross country to Florida.
Would love to hear from other bullet owners on suggestions, or things to look out for.

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum.
One of you should record your walk through with your sales person or the tech department (whoever does it at your dealer) while they explain how all the various systems work so the other can focus on questions. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. Also record the hitching and unhitching process, if it is new to you. Make them hitch it and unhitch it and then hitch everything again for your departure.
As for my experience with a new Bullet, the kitchen sink had been over tightened and dented and some of the trim work was shoddy. Those things I noticed on the walk through and new parts were ordered and replaced under warranty. I had a leak in the shower drain the first weekend I used it, but I wouldn't look for that specifically. Every person's experience is going to be different. I think the important thing is to stay within reasonable driving distance of your dealer for a couple of weeks if possible in case something does come up, which, unfortunately, it probably will. That isn't a reflection on Bullet. It's like building a new house, there is always a punch list of things that need attention.
Good luck!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new rig!! Just an observation; the 5.7L (I've had several) with a 3.21 axle is/was not meant for towing, much less 7600 lbs. It is for gas mileage and grocery getting. Just want to throw that out before you do anything to get yourself in over your head or wonder why the truck won't perform trying to tow that trailer. Good luck.

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. I'm sure hoping you're wrong about the rear axle ratio. Was your previous rig equipped with the 8 spd transmission? I've been really impressed with it, and the power of the hemi.
My only fear is the soft rear springs, I plan on either upgrading to tuftruk 1223V springs, or just adding airlift 1000 series air bags, maybe both. Will also be upgrading the tires to something with a heavier load rating.
I've pulled 9000# + on a short trip across town, and it handled it well except for the squat, but it handled it.
We plan on doing the cross country trip next summer, and will take our time, breaking the trip up into several shorter drive days. We can park, and drop the TT, and do a little sightseeing along the way.

I know a couple of the Lassiter's
Kyle, and Bob Lassiter. Kyle is a Roofer, and Bob is a General Contractor. They're both customers of mine, I work at the Franklin building supply here in Fruitland

Will do, I see his brother Bob more often than him, but I still see Kyle occasionally.

Sourdough, just wondering if your previous Dodge trucks were equipped with the 8 speed trans? From what I have researched my 7th gear is
nearly the same as a 3.92 in 8th gear. And the first gear ratio is much lower than the old 4 speed trans of the previous generation of trucks & transmissions even those with the higher gear ratios.
These aren't the same trucks that they were even 5 or 6 years ago. As stated my only fear is the springs and tires which will both be getting upgraded before we start towing it extensively next spring.

Just another welcome, sorry no infor on your camper. We have been working with Silverhawk reality in Caldwell. We likely seen your home in fruitland on the web. Plan on leaving Oregon next spring or summer, I just got to give up the badge and take up Uncle Sams offer on SS payments.
