well written rv tire article

https://rvingwithmarkpolk.com/2012/1...s-vs-lt-tires/

Not trying to fire off another tire debate but this guys speaks more to my level than some of the other stuff I have read and he makes a lot of sense to me.

The big problem is the pdf is from 2012. There have been leaps and bounds in durability achievements since then.

Tireman9 isn't going to like that Tim Fry quote.

I appreciate wiredgeorge posting this for the information of our members. I don't want this to degenerate into another "tire expert" referendum since we just closed another thread that went through the same, unending, non conclusive postings of "those that know". In the first 2 posts (beyond Chip's funny) we have 2 folks trying to reference various views of the post that mean something to them, and, IMO, trying to drive us into another long, boring, thread as we read of some folks perceived expertise vs others in tires infinitum.

I'm thinking we take the post from wiredgeorge for what it's worth - that's it. I personally have no interest, at all, reading another 3 pages of posts between self proclaimed experts saying the same thing they did in the last thread ....and the one before....and the one before.

That's just me...and my patience with this. On the other hand, maybe I can just start some popcorn and see if there might be something of interest that comes in that hasn't been posted before...ad nauseum....

It surely wasn't an attempt to set off another debate on tires; I find most of them over my head and this guy spoke more at my level and I enjoyed the perspective. I can't say I know if he is on his game or just another person with an opinion but what I read made some sense. We are moving into spring and RVs might actually become the focus again rather than dissertations on tires. If you want to close this, fine by me. It was informational only for those that can't follow all the minutia that is brought up in various tire discourses.

George, it's a good post with good information. It stays. And we'll do our best to keep it out of the weeds. Thanks for sharing a layman's perspective.

Wiredgeorge....YOU were on point and posted something that I think members will find beneficial. "You done good". The issue will be those that "know more", and/or have issues with the originator of the video from some lost past vs what is presented and cannot/will not just let your post speak for itself then let others take it for what it is. At this point I think, as one expert said, we are just "sad" in his/their opinion, oh well......... Keep on keeping on......
