Keystone Sprinter hot water

Our family purchased a 2016 Sprinter, however didn't get a walkthough on things. I am looking for help on how to get the hot water, heater, ac units to work. Can someone help me? The little bit of info in the manuals is of no help.

Let’s start with the basics. Make sure the propane tanks are filled and the battery is fully charged. If your plugged into shore power that’s even better.

Water heater: should operate on electric, propane or both. There may be a switch on the outside, behind the access panel down on the lower left corner. The switch may appear “upside down”, that is normal. That switch must be in the ON position for the electric element to work and requires 110VAC. There may be an additional switch inside, if not then just the one mentioned is needed. Propane operation requires turning the switch on inside. You do need 12VDC for it to operate.

Furnace: again a good battery, or plugged in and propane. Depending on what thermostat you have, turn in the heat. The fan will operate first and then burner will light. When set temp is reached the flame will go out and the fan will continue to run to cool off components.

Fridge: depends on brand/model. Turn it on and you can choose AUTO or GAS. In Auto mode it will choose 110 if it’s available, otherwise it will choose gas. You need 12VDC for the fridge to operate.

If you need more information on specific appliances, just post with model number and brand.

Unless previous owner swapped it you likely have the Airxcel basic thermostat (see attached photo). Some never get used to it and upgrade to the next Coleman model.

Repeatedly hitting the bottom button while watching the display to cycle through all your heat and A/C settings (Cool Hi, Cool Lo, etc.). Stop on the function you want and adjust the temperature setting with the up and down arrows.

You said "ac units" and hopefully you have two if you'll be in anything over 90 weather. The rear unit (only) is controlled by the thermostat and the bedroom unit is controlled by the knobs on the panel of the A/C itself. Again, this presumes stock thermostat.

Just an addition to what Chuckster said about the hot water tank.

DO NOT turn the electric element on, either at the tank or inside, if you don't have water in the tank. You will burn the element very quickly.

Keep in mind the electrical portion of the HW tank usually has a 110 AC breaker associated with it , make sure breaker is ON. In my Raptor I have only a switch outside on the HW tank unit and the 110 VAC breaker, ie no internal switch.
