Freeze Guard system

Have a factory installed freeze guard system in FZ390 5th wheel. No luck getting it to draw pink antifreeze fluid from the jug. No directions with the unit. Plugged bottle thru hose to the freeze guard inlet. Turned on freeze guard lever. Turned on pump. Would not draw antifreeze. Any thoughts. Dave.

Put an extra gasket in the connection on the trailer, you may not think you have an air leak, but you are loosing suction right there. 9 out of 10 times this will cure the problem

I had the same problem with mine last year. There is a check valve in the inlet that would not open with just the suction. I had to place a screen/washer, with the screen pointed in, in the inlet. This opened the check valve and then the system worked fine.

I also found that if you use the blue outdoor coiled shower hose that came with your unit it will be able to suck up the antifreeze without using an extra gasket. It worked for me.
