2017 Passport 2810bh

Hi everyone! We just brought home our Passport. Purchased from Byerly Rv in St. Louis, we ordered it last month. Thought we were getting a 2016 but to our surprise it's a 2017. They changed the kitchen - the sink is no longer angled and the counter and cabinets are somewhat bigger. It now comes with Led lights under the awning - no regular porch light - I was going to add them, I'm glad I don't have to worry about it now. Also all the interior lights are led I believe this is a change also.

So far we love it and haven't found any major issues. Much larger than the pop up we sold a few years ago.

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. Nice TT. I upgraded the lights in my 2016 to LEDs but need to add the outside LED strip. We would've preferred to have the sink setup you have. It gives a little counter space. Enjoy. We love our 2016. You're the first 2017 I remember seeing on the forum.

We have purchased two from Byerly. They are great to work with, definitely beat the competitors on price.

Do you have any pictures of the sink and counter? Curious what the inside looks like, the outside looks almost identicle to the 2016.

I didn't even notice the change, when we got home my wife said this looks different.

Here is one from the bedroom, I don't remember if the 2016 was tv ready but the 2017 is setup for a 2nd tv.

Here is one showing that the porch light is gone and you can make out the led strip under the awning.

More of the inside.

I will take some more of there is something you would like to see.

Definitely like that sink layout better. Can you still get by when the slide is in without walking on the slide? Thanks.

No its the same as the 2016 can't walk around with the slide closed but you have two doors so it's not an issue, they changed the lights to LED's i see and a new vinyl floor.

My wife was just talking about the stick on tile backsplash. How hard was the install? Do you like it now that it's installed?

It’s easy to install just wipe down the walls, let it dry, measure, peal and stick & press down frim. Around the window loosen up the lower part of the frame so you can pass the tile underneath for a nice factory looking fit. Mark the lower area so the window blind holder holes line up again. I went a step further by using blue painters tape (the good one not the cheap tape) taped all the edges near tile & wall leaving tiny gap between wall and tile, used clear silicone sealing all the edges so the tile won’t peel off due to heat. My wife loves the look and I am sure yours will to. SIDE NOTE: Don't let the clear silicone dry too long 10 min or so is fine then peal it off the tape.

I also used clear silicone and blue painters tape around T-molded counter top edges because of the many gaps that will let water in causing the counter top to swell simple fix works well and worth doing. I also had gaps around the stove top that I had to do so check yours.

Did they put an LED light under the awning for 2017? I put one in becasue at night the stock light is worthless see photo.

Sounds easy enough! I will add that to my list of things to do. Thanks for the how to!

Yeah the led strip was factory installed and the porch light is gone all together. It is only on/off, white in color and runs the entire length of the awning.

My 2016 has the sink at an angle and I can walk past it when the slide is in.

We also got a passport from Byerly RV. Ours is a 2015 with the angled sink. I think I like yours straight. Is the radio blu ray capable yet? We're on our third year with ours and love it!

Looks like the 2017 has a different radio too. My 2016 has an IRV radio that is blue tooth capable. Used it in early April when we were in an area with no radio reception at all.
