2020 Fuzion 419 A/C issues

This unit is almost 1 week old. I am having some issues understanding the A/C in the main living area. With incommand system set at 65 the display shows the temp at 83, its 91 outside today. The garage is off and the door separating the rooms is closed, its temp reads 87, only 4 degrees warmer with no A/C

Bedroom is set at 72 and its 65 in there.

Hooked up to 30amp, only running 2 A/C's.

Dealer said the unit was fine when I bought it and he doesn't know what the problem is.

I expected the temp in main living to be in the lower 70's.

Also, will my generator run my complete unit just as if I was hooked up to 50amps? Onan 5500 gen

Welcome to the forum!

As a rule 30Amps isn’t enough to run 2 AC units. If you have an energy management system it may be “shedding” one of the AC units. Turn off the bedroom and run just the family room AC. You should get air about 20 degrees cooler out at the ceiling, if your not then there may be an issue with the AC unit.

Post back results after about 1/2 of operation.

Yes your Onan 5500W gen should provide enough power for both ACs to operate.

Well it's funny because on the brochure it reads...
"Run up to 3 a/c's on a 50 amp service or 2 a/c's on a 30 amp drive with power to spare."
"50% more cooling power than any other competitor"

So after only running the main a/c I am getting cooler temps. Garage off 71 degrees, bedroom off 61 degrees and main room 68 degrees set at 65. Crazy to me, but working.

It almost looks like the coils are freezing up. Have you checked the freeze plugs for proper location ???

I'll check those. This morning the whole 5th wheel is 68 degrees, with just 1 unit running. Outside temp 74 overnight.

I have a few questions to better understand what's going on. When you posted the temps how long had the units been running? Is the unit in full sun, partial shade?
As for running 2 units with "power to spare" on 30 amps, well, shoot me because I'm sceptical on than one. Sounds like the same old advertising, "new and improved"... "antenna will pull in channels 120 miles away" .... "lifetime warranty" and EPA fuel mileage estimates on the new car stickers are but a few that come to mind. JMHO

Yes full sun. Same place I parked my old one. The main difference is now with incommand system I have more info, lol, which is good and bad.

But in think we found the main culprit. The windows get so hot you can feel the heat from 14 inches away. And they get so hot you cannot leave your hands on them for more than a few seconds.

Still weird though that the garage with more and bigger windows and no a/c, is only a 4 degrees warmer than main living with a/c.

I'm good for now guys. Thank you for the responses.

I believe your fusion has “race track” ductwork that includes vents into the garage. So even with the garage AC system off and the door closed, you will be getting some ducted AC into that space unless you have physically closed any vents from the overhead Into the garage.

My 2019 Fuzion 369 reads incorrect temps when the garage A/C is off and the door closed. On my unit two of the three temp sensors are back to back on the wall between living area and the garage. The heat soak from the garage wall filters through to the living room temp sensor. Because of that the living area sensor reads higher than the actual temp. I used other thermometers to test my theory. Due to the bedroom and living area being on a racetrack vent system, after the bedroom system shuts off the living room system is still on and supplying the bedroom with cold air. This is why it is colder in the bedroom than what you have it set for. In my unit with all three A/C units running the bedroom is always colder than the other two zones. I compensate by setting the temp higher than desired for the bedroom. With the garage unit on (not in the racetrack) the temp equalizes between the living and garage zones and life is good. If I run just the bedroom and living room zones (30 Amp) and have the garage pass through door open. It will equalize the temps but will not cool adequately on a hot day. I need all three units on for hot days. At 105 I was able to keep 74 in the trailer.
