Progressive EMS-PT30X on short pedestals

I had no idea how large the EMS is until UPS delivered it. Exchanging it for an installed model isn't an option at this time.

Our go-to campground has really short power pedestals, I would be surprised if the plug is more than 12 inches from the ground.

How do I use the unit and keep it vertical (as per the instructions)? If it bends on the ground then the waterproof-ness is negated?

You can throw a little more money at the problem by buying a 30 amp/30 amp extension cable and plugging that into the pedestal, then plugging your controller into the other end at a more appropriate height. If you got one that was just slightly longer than the extended control unit itself, it would always be adequate, and wouldn't add much to your cargo weight. Don't forget the baling twine if you need to hang it high.

You can buy a 10' 30 amp extension cord for $20 https://www.amazon.com/Surge-Guard-3...s%2C172&sr=8-3 and either securely loop it over the power pole or plug it into the existing power pole and place a taller support next to it so your EMS is higher off the ground.
