Any ideas to add a closet?

I've (we've) got a 2010 30RKS that doesn't have a closet for hanging jackets. It has the 2 wardrobes by the bed, but we've put hanging shelves in them as they really aren't big enough to hang jackets in, plus they are kind of inconvenient for jackets.

We like how the newer models have a slideout wardrobe in the bedroom, but of course that is out of the question. We are just trying to find some way to hang maybe 4 jackets, 2 rain and 2 for sitting outside at night, somewhere other than tossing them on a chair.

I looked at the hall closet, but I'd have to tear it right apart and rebuild it as it has 2" boards both vertically between the doors and horizontally holding up the shelves. We could lose those shelves if there was a way to convert it to a spot to hang stuff, but I just don't see how.

Has anyone got a good solution for hanging jackets in a similar trailer with no closet space?

Thanks.

Our Cougar 27RES also suffers with a lack of closet space for jackets, etc. Only option for this TT was to attach a 4 hook coat rack to the outside of the bathroom door. Not out of sight but does the job.

We roll the jackets. No long hanging area for us either.

Most bathroom doors have enough clearance at the top to use an off the shelf over the door coat rack. You can hang the hold on the bathroom side if you don't want them in the living area. Otherwise, a wall mounted coat rack, preferably on an inside wall. Just be sure to use anchors for hollow walls that will carry the weight.

What do your hanging shelves look like?

Our kids use the 2 closests beside our bed and the cloth holder we've been using is nearing the end of it's useful life.

We've thought of these white plastic drawers, but they don't leave much room for more than 2 sweaters being hung.

Same floor plan as ours, minus the wardrobe slide. We just use a coat hook by the front door. Not as elegant as a closet but damned practical.A guy could make a case for liberating part of the pantry by installing a vertical divider and adding a closet pole.

Google Plastic hanging shelves. That's what we have. I don't have pictures of them. Probably bought them at Wal Mart.

We fill our pantry pretty much. We've got coat hooks by the door, but we usually have a couple jackets going (warm vs rain) and they end up being tossed on the back of a chair.
