Delamination

My 2010 2910bh has a delaminating front cap. Probably from a fixed water leak, but delaminated, none the less. Lots of folks seem to see delamination. Have not seen a lot of comments on fixes. What have people done, how much did it cost, and do the fixes look ok? Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Some people have replaced their caps with new Filon or aluminum. If done right it will look new.

On our previous TT '13 Cougar 24RKSWE had a serious problem with the front cap. It was not delaminated as the Filon was just hung on the front aluminum frame with a corrugated cardboard like panel. As it turned out the leak was from a top clearance light.
Cost to repair/replace Filon with a new much heavier type of fiberglass impregnated material was right around $7000US. Had it done in Lake Havasu City at a Keystone dealer. Big job! Front interior had to come out to replace Luan panels.
Unless you do it yourself prepare for a near writeoff quote. YMMV

We had an older Artic Fox that suffered the same problem. We were quoted $2000 for replacement + any structural repair here in Northern California.Ours leaked at the transition strip on the roof.I was more concerned with dry rot of the frame than the delamanation.I resealed everything on the front and used eternabond tape on the transition strip and used it for two more years without any problems other than an ugly front cap.
