2010 Cougar slide will not go out

I have a 2010 Cougar 28 foot bunkhouse. My slide will not always go out it just sits there and ratchets. I can push on slide and it doesn't matter. I just keep pushing and releasing the button to go out and finally it will catch and go. I lube my slide every time i run it out and i lube my seal once a year. It has never failed coming in just going out. Is there a slip collar in there i need to tighten or is it the motor gears going bad, or ??

Thanks

I don't know the answer but do know there are different slide mechanisms. Describing your type of slide or mechanism may help others to give constructive advice.

My slide has the two bars underneath with the teeth on them and it has the stop can. It looks like it only has on electrical motor that is about 3/4 of the way on the other side of the camper.
