Our owners manual suggests at least twice a year. We live in NC with hot summers so we may do it more often. BUT, we're nubies so maybe someone else has better insights.

Woot-woot! Loaded the 5th wheel for our next trip! Leaving early tomorrow morning. Doesn't get much better than that.

DW just retired a few months ago. I'm still happily working full time. (I'll be 70 in two weeks). I love my job! And need the r!est

This last weekend I found out the true meaning of "IN COMMAND"! It was her, with too much time on her hands! I had to go back to work to rest up for next weekend's HONEY DO LIST! LOL

When your DW is the "IN COMMAND SYSTEM", where are the batteries, and the off switch?

Good Luck

I got a little nervous about my power jack extension running out on its 18-inch throw when I have to raise the TV/TT substantially to get my WDH "engaged". I marked the extension every inch so I know how much margin I have. The blue tape near the foot indicates when I have to stop retracting.

Made a written, physical inventory of everything that stays in/with the trailer. Found duplications of items, things I forgot I had and things I've never used. Made organization easier, especially for those hard to reach areas. Now I know what I have, where it is and how many!

Cleaned the outside and put a coat of Rejex on the front cap. Hopefully the bugs and other crap that hits the front cap won't stick as much.

Yesterday actually but cleaned up everything we used on our trip last week. Everything except washing the outside and the TV that is. I'm saving that for a mid week project.

Sanitized and flushed the fresh water system, and installed an accessible on/off switch to control the outlet for the outdoor refrigerator.

Installed the frame shims for my ProPride hitch that the dealer left out when he installed it last October. Now the jack tubes don't splay out under load.

Discovered that the dealer also left off the frame bracket plates, causing the hitch to turn way out of whack after our recent trip; ordered yet more replacement parts.

Also discovered that my spare tire was entirely ornamental -- carrier mounting bolt turned freely, making it impossible to unmount the tire. So happy I discovered this before I needed it. Vise grips wouldn't hold carriage bolt head. Brought carrier and all in to dealer to repair under warranty. While there, had a discussion about failure to tell customers about having multiple "parts left over" after installing new hitch units.

Installed a shore power cable conversion kit tonight. No more trying to jam that 25’ cord back into the mouse hole and the little space behind it! I really like the look and feel of the new exterior mount fitting. At the same time, I fixed the installation of the crooked KeyTv box.

I installed SRE4000 from MORryde on the new trailer and pulled the wheels to get Sailuns put on the rims. Apparently the shop I went to cannot get the OEM Westlakes off though and may have damaged one rim tomorrow is installing 3x cross member braces and figuring out the tire stuff

Curious which kit you used. I'm considering doing this , since last time out we got to the campground and I couldn't pull out more than about 6' of cord ….. not near enough to reach the pedestal. I tried to untangle it, but no luck. Fortunately, I carry an extension cord, so we did have power for the weekend. It was not easy to get straightened out once we were back home, as the cord goes into a void behind a partition, behind the power center. I consider myself fortunate that this was the first time I've had an issue in the four years we have had the trailer, but I'm not interested in dealing with it again.

Happened to us on our first trip and we almost freaked. Figured the cable had a tight loop in it, so we gave the cable a pretty good twisting in one direction, and when that didn't loosen it, back in the other direction. Eventually we did pull it all out, though we encountered three loops, and not all in the same direction. Now when we feed it in, we are very careful not to apply any unconscious twist to the cable whatsoever.

Luckily, in our model, the cable goes into a screw-accessible cavity under the bath sink. Having it go into an inaccessible void would really raise my blood pressure.

I used the park power kit on my last trailer. It was very straight forward and easy to do. Freed up a large space under the pantry. If I was going to add an inverter on that trailer, that was where I would have put it.

I used the Furrion Kit that I bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Furrion-FCKIT.../dp/B004XN57UI It was a very easy install and took about 30 minutes start to finish. It is a direct replacement and looks and works great. Directions are real color photos and walk you through the process step by step.

installed a EMS protector and gave the awning a much needed cleaning. Its still not great, but so much better than it was. I put it off for too long imo, doubt it will ever come back totally.

top is before/bottom after

Not sure if the noted model has it (I quickly looked at the link and couldn't tell) but our Furrion shore connection has two nice features: 1) a light on the TT mounted connector cover and 2) a light on the shore power cable male end. Both let you know if electricity is coming through. It's nice to know you have juice when you throw the breakers to ON. Then, of course, we have the EMS inside the TT.

Regarding the power cord conversion kits: What have you done with the existing cord? If you purchased a new cord for the new setup, could the old cord be converted into an extension cord if the cut end was properly set up to do so?
