Not sure where to put this? storage/trip Question

Ok. I have a question for those who do this?
We are planning a trip in 3 weeks for halloween to a campground near the beach, not at the beach but 8 miles inland. We are also planning to go this campground over the Thanksgiving holidays. We are planning to leave the camper for these 3 weeks between the trips. I know I need to clean out the frig and defrost it. BUT what do you remove from the pantry?
I mean as it sits now(beside the house) we leave everything that has not been opened between trips, Poptarts, cereal, chips, cookies, can goods, bottled stuff(plastic or glass), etc.
So my question do I need to remove everything except the hard covered stuff(canned goods and same type things) or can we leave everything that has not been opened until we arrive back at the campground? The campground has a secured storage lot on site not that far from the campground office and sites.
My wife asked me and I could not answer her question (a first for me, as I get hit upside the head!)
Thanks
randy

If unopened I would just leave it all there.

Here mousey mousey. We leave stuff that is in cans or plastic tubs but not boxed items. Little bastards find everything.

I sometimes park mine 2-3 weeks between trips and I leave all unopened items in pantry. Items like pancake mix which may be open I have in a Tupperware container that shuts tight.

Try to keep all the "chewables" in one location and sprinkle the area heavily with bay leaves. Throw some in the base of every cabinet and you should stay vermin free. The little monsters don't like bay leaves. If it doesn't work you can always use them to make turkey soup after Thanksgiving. .................... I mean the bay leaves of course!!!!

I always leave everything and by the end of the year I have a winters supply of food for home. I swear I would buy twice as much on the road as at home

you all.
So basically I will pull everything that is opened.
Maybe even the unopened stuff I can place that into a storage tub with bay leaves.
I am already jazzing to go on these two trips...First time since we started camping we have ever left our campers anywhere but beside the house between trips.

I've put the stuff opened in a dry ice chest and close it tight. Then critters can't get in and it is safe for that amount of time.

I like your idea aslee. I hate clearing out the pantry for the winter. Have never had a problem til this year when a mouse found a package of pretzels. I'll pack up the hamburger helper in a cooler after our last trip.
