Landing gear failed

While going to hitch up, the wife was raising the landing gear and there was a loud thud, then the camper fell a few inches on the drivers side. No one was hurt, but now I have a bad leg, most likely need to replace. Does anyone know where to get parts for Keystone Everest? What are your thoughts about replacing the pair as oppossed to just the bad one?

It is likely that the landing gear leg is manufactured by Lippert. You might want to check the legs to see if you can find a stamp or label of some sort indicating who made it. If it turns out to be a Lippert, go to their website and see what they have available. Might be a sheer pin or something simple.
I have had the inside of one leg come apart and pieced it back together again with a couple of new pieces to replace the worn, but still good ones. Just did one leg ---- and both are working fine now.
Good to hear that both you and your wife are okay and that no other damage was done. I hope your wife does not stand or stoop under the 5th overhang while operating the landing gear switch - if it is located beneath the overhang.

Thanks Festus2, I called Keystone and they recommended Lippert. The leg was manufactured by Fulton, but I am guessing Keystone does not use them any more. I am looking into it now. The wife wont stand there any more, shes a little more cautious now.

Landing Gear problem

Glad the wife's OK. Check this link for replacement parts:

I have read you can support the coach, unbolt the leg and remove it from below to rebuild it.

Best of luck and be careful.
