Hot Water Heater

Hello all. I have a 2017 Cougar rswbe. My problem is that the hot water heater won't come on. It defaults and retries. I can hear the click for it to start and smell propane. Tried the reset buttons with no luck. Any ideas? I am pretty new to this.

Ours did the same. Dealer put in new control board under warranty. No problems since.

I had the same issue with mine. I could hear the solenoid open, but no clicking of the DSI to light the gas. If I lit the gas manually with a grill lighter, it would run for a few seconds and then go out. Dealer gave me a replacement board under warranty and it fired right up. I have the Suburban SW6DEL.

Spiders and other insects like to build nests in the burner tube which will prevent ignition or produce incomplete combustion. Every RV owner should learn what to look for and have the knowledge to correct the problem. Refer to your owners manual or I am Shure there are a number of YouTube videos.

If everything is clean and it will not light a trip to the shop is required.
