Based on how I see keystone positioning or at least based on their pricing models. Seems to be channel differentiation like automotive dealers. Same major manufacuturer but different subbrands for different dealers so they can all compete with on similar price with slight design differences. Capture more market share...

What brand and type of unit are you interested in out of curiousity?

Mid Price
Cougar
Cougar High Country
Laredo
Copper Canyon
Sydney

Higher Price
Alpine
Avalanche
Montana

Luxury
Big Sky

I can only speak for what I own, which is a 2007 Cougar Fifth wheel, and we have had it over 3 years now. We live in it full time since mid Oct. 2009.

We have had no problems with it.

It is not top of the line anything but it is exactly what we need. It certainly is not the cheapest of any line of fifth wheels of any brand - it completely fits our needs and it is perfect for us!

We've owned our Cougar 5th Wheel Toy Hauler since November. Took forever to get the unit ordered it in August. Spend the winter modifying all kinds of things to get it worthy for travel. Holidays next week, first maiden voyager down the I-5 to Washington. Sure hope my digital antenna pulls the super bowl in!!

I agree with you Jo - Cougar not the cheapest not the most expensive but dollar for dollar I'm pleased with things. Couple little things I shake my head at but nothing that I haven't been able to overlook or modify. That's how it is when things are mass produced, but seems like they have a good reputation, lots of them on the road..
