Barn Doors

I'm in the process of purchasing a tow vehicle Suburban 2500. Since they don't make a lot of these will have to travel many miles to find one. I pull a travel trailer with Reese weight distribution which extends a good bit from my bumper. My question is does anyone have a similar set up with barn doors on there Suburban and is there enough clearance to open doors while attached to the trailer? I'm spoiled with being able to left top glass on my liftgate on my Suburban to get to things inside. Thank you for any comments.

While I don't have your setup, I understand what you're saying. It's like the tailgate on a pick-up. Some hit the jack and some don't. Is there anyway you can pull your trailer to the car dealer and check it out?

What year Burban? I have owned many over the years and I've pulled many trailers with them. The doors actually tilt slightly as they are opened. You shouldn't have any issues.
I have always preferred tailgates over barn doors because you can sit on them when parked. Finding a Burban with a tailgate is harder though as they seem to be more rare.
