I'm not sure that a tire's warranty means much. By the time you read through all the exclusions, on any of them, it's a 50/50 chance that you will get nothing in the end regardless of the situation. They mean little to nothing to me.
I've never taken a tire back due to a problem - and won't. You get too little and I don't have the patience to mess with it - I would just end up riled up and fuming. Life's too short. If there is a problem, dump the problem and buy new tires.

I simply couldn't agree with Sourdough more! If you treat the tire like your first grandchild, keep it in the shade, 80 PSI, never curbed, and it blows at 60 MPH and tears up your RV you'll be able to recoup your deductible from the tire company, correct? They'll give you a new one with a smile, correct? Go back and read Sourdough's post......

I sold the Trailer King tires to my dealer when buying Carlisle. I bought my 3rd set of Carlisle RH before the HDs came out. No problems with any of them.

Point being, inventories can get stale and trailer tires have a definitive life expectancy from the "born on date". 3-5 years is your replacement window. If you're conservative like me, I wanted to be sure that I got 3 full service seasons from time of purchase.

I was re-packing the wheel bearing this weekend, getting ready for our trip to Colorado on Friday and I noticed the date codes on the new tires I just bought from Discount. 3 X 0117, 1 X 4816 and 1 X 2216.
I called them and they ordered me a replacement for the 2216, I can live with the 4816.

I purchased the replacement certificates from Discount, with the new tires... at least I'll get any problem tires replaced.

Yeah, I saw the different wording but missed the first page of the other where it says in VERY LARGE PRINT that it is the OEM warranty. Thought it was kind of odd. Thanks.

I put a new set of HD's on this spring, ST225/75R15. Upgraded from load D to load E for better weight and speed rating margin. Walmart had them on sale, but Discount Tire matched the price and mounted and balanced them, where my local Walmart didn't have the shop to do it.
Have around 600 miles on them so far, and like them a lot. Bought my 2008 Cougar last fall with bias ply tires dated '07. Tread was near new, but they were cracking for sure. I think the previous owner did not travel much.

Right now I'm feeling that the Carlisle HD's will be my next tire at the beginning of next season (fours years on the DOT code). No issues with the current Maxxis tires, but the Carlisle's appear to be equal quality at a lower price. Sorry Maxxis.

I've got about 3500 on our Carlisle HD and I can definitely say they are a great improvement over the OEM Trailer Kings. Went up a load range (E) and the trailer rides/tows so much better. Temps run cooler and are consistent. Can't find anything bad to say about them - I really like them. Will leave for FL in Oct. so we'll see how they do on that road trip (did an excellent job on initial trip).

I installed mine last year in May so I'm looking at about 16 months of use and roughly 9600 miles. Not a minute's trouble, much cooler tire temperatures, smoother ride, less "cargo movement" inside the trailer and although I can't attribute it to the trailer tires, about 0.5MPG improvement in fuel mileage. I say I can't attribute that to the tires because there's been some changes in diesel blending in Michigan, some changes in speed limits and I do tow about 3-5 MPH faster now than I did with the "china may pops". So, with those differences, I'm not sure if the improvement in economy is tire related or not.
Anyway, I'm very satisfied, see nearly no wear and certainly no abnormal wear. This is with the Carlisle RH the "first generation model of the HD". I installed the HD tires on my boat trailer this spring and have had no problems with them as well. Next spring I'll probably remove these from the Cougar and install them on my flatbed car hauler. My flatbed trailer tires will be 5 or 6 years old, so it's getting time to change them, even though I seldom use the trailer. At current pricing from WalMart, it's a "hard decision" to buy something other than Carlisle RH tires for most any trailer application that's within their load range ratings.

Just got back from a trip to Port Huron KOA with the grandsons, My Carlise HD's performed great. Pressure steady and temp never got above 82 on each tire. Top speed 65!! What a comfort to have them and my TPMS to boot..
