Camping Pics

I haven't seen a post where people have started a thread posting pictures of the campgrounds they have visited or pictures of their campsites. So ive started this thread. so ill be the first to post. I have pictures of our old 1986 Coleman pop up we refinished and sold last year, and purchased this 2017 Summerland Mini 1750 RD. The picture of the new camper is at a little campground in Decatur Michigan called Oak Shores. Click image for larger version

I guess it's not "true" camping, and it's really noisy during the day. There are no trees close by, everyone is camped on asphalt, and it get's really hot sometimes....especially while wearing a full leather suit, gloves, boots, and a helmet....but this is what we do for fun about 16-18 days (weekends) a summer, from April till October. We BBQ on the Weber grill Fri and Sat night, sit outside in the evenings talking and having some refreshments, brew a pot of coffee in the morning to start the day......so it's kind of like camping, just not in the trees.

And this is what it looks like when the bike is on track....

Here is one more, a layout of the track. The orange section is where you come onto the front straight and by the time you get to the "kink", just past the building, you see speeds approaching 170 MPH, then brake hard enough to make it through the kink at approx. 60 MPH. Good times for sure.

I know, it's just not what a lot of folks consider camping......peace, quiet, babbling brooks, scenic views.....but we love doing it, so that's what counts!

love the pictures everyone is sending in my wife and I will be making notes of the different places people are posting from so we can plan some trips to different places with our camper instead of just the Michigan/Indiana states.

In this blog you'll find 90 places we have stayed. I could post another 90 if I got off my duff and started writing about them again.

https://fasteaglervparking.blogspot.com/

All of the pictures in each post can be enlarged by clicking on them. They will run like a slide show.

When you come to the bottom of a page just click on older posts to continue to the next page.
