Ducted heat into garage?

I,m in the process of shopping for a used Raptor of Fuzion toy hauler. I was just told by the owner of a Raptor I was inquiring about that none of the garages in Raptors have ducted heat into the garage. He said that cool air is ducted in from the AC but not heat from the furnace. If that is true I would definitely consider it a design flaw. Can any Fuzion owners confirm whether or not the same applies to the garages in Fuzions? Thanks much

Garage heat

We have the SRX, while aircon is ducted the heat stops in the main cabin. I think while they designed the Keystone units the work 'Garage' stopped the heat in the cabin! We now have heat in the garage in the SRX, however that's due to taking the wall down! We needed a few extra inches for our golf cart, down came the wall and the door, worked out great, have posted pictures previously.

Can not speak for all previous years or models but mine has AC ducted into the garage ceiling think maybe three or four outputs. There is a single heating register (output) in the garage ducted from furnace. Unlike all other heating registers in the Raptor which are in the floor. the garage one is on the wall between the garage and main portion of the Raptor. Do not expect output from this register to blow your wig off

none in my 3912 raptor

I use a oil heater and a fan (mostly for noise) the garage is where I sleep full time. I junked the upper bunk put shelf brackets around the lift frame/ lower bed and shoved a full size mattress on top of the lower bed/ couch the furnace does a good job but it is not enough to heat the whole rv alone at least in mine

Ducted heat into garage?

My 310 fusion doesn't have ducted heat in garage. It has a heat strip in the rear a/c unit. I'm disappointed in the amount of heat it puts out and unit only runs on high when the heat is on. Very noisy.

361 lev raptor had no heat in the garage. So I ran a duct behind the fire place into garage wall. Pictures of installation in the community social groups. It puts out heat. But had to buy adjustable registry .

My Fuzion 342 has 1 heater duct in the garage although it doesnt see much action as most of the heat is directed to the bathroom and living space.

If interested there is an ongoing thread going on now think it is Furnace Fan discussing register covers. flow. may want to also do a search to see what others have done. I have tried magnetic covers, and in the bedroom when it doubt there is always your slipper to restrict air flow, works for me

In my Raptor Bathroom and Bedroom registers are just about right over furnace, Since heat rises why not put more heat upstairs than down

My 2010 FZ322 Touring Edition II has it. It works fairly well above 45*. Any lower an s supplemental heat is a must. Tonight's low in GA is 38*. We have the electric heaters coming on at 68 and the gas at 65 to back them up.

HTfiremedic,
I'm about to buy a 2010 FZ322. So what kind of electric heaters are you using? It sounds like they have a thermostat on them? I'll use my camper in cold weather from time to time so I'll definitely invest in some. Have you ever used yours in very cold temps like teens and single digit temps? How did your plumbing and tanks do? I assume if you keep the heat going you should be good since they have some ducted heat into the underbelly right? Have you felt the need to add any additional insulation or heating blankets? Thanks much for any info

Our 2011 Fuzion 322 TE has ducted heat but it doesn't stay as warm as the front of the trailer. We recently camped for 8 nights and several of those nights were down in the 30's. It definitely doesn't stay as warm in the back as the front but wasn't too bad. 322 TE also has the heat strip but I don't think that helps much at all. I told my kids to keep the door open so it would stay much warmer in the back, most nights they didn't keep it open.

We have a ceramic heater and two Honeywell Heat Giants. They are great above freezing. The ducted heat in the underbelly does ok and hasn't let us freeze up, into the high single digits, in the NC mountains. I made a heated garden hose to use and also insulate the openings into the underbelly with towels and an old egg crate foam mattress.
DW has an electric blanket and a 45# Boxer. She stays warm enough. I did buy an indoor/outdoor thermometer to help keep up with the true indoor temp. Our house t-stat is off by 8* F (higher) inside.

My 300 MP doesn't but I use an electric fireplace and set it at the forward wall. Got a neat fake flame and an electric heater with a two speed fan. Keeps it quit cozy and warm, plus provide a romantic setting with the "flames".
