black water tank

We have a 2007 Montana 3295rk which has developed a leak on the black water tank. It appears to be where the pipe enters the tank, but I can not find an access to same. I crawled in the storage compt. and the pipe disappears through the floor above my head? I checked under the shower, bathroom sink, etc. and I am unable to locate where the pipe enters the tank. If anyone knows how to find same, it would be a great help. Thanks'
Robert

leak

Good day Robert, this is from the other Bob. We also have a leak in about the same area which started last year(2009). Had it to the dealer twice with no solution on their part. Had to wait for 2010 to start camping to run water. Found the galley to be ok, but when I put water into the bdroom sink it started to come up through the shower and out the bottom into the under belly. I will try the potty today when wifey and I go up. I had to take a vid of the leak and take it to our dealer. Now we are waiting for the repair guy to show up to have a look. This will be our 3rd week starting Monday (07/19/10)
We have a 2007 Coug. 27 ft. If I can find out I will certainly put in on the web.
By the way I just joined this site as of today hoping to find a solution to our problem. Good luck.

leak

Hi Robert. Well they finally found were our trailer was leaking from.
It seems that whom ever was screwing in the battery cables screwed into one of the holding tanks at the front and with the bouncing around it now opened the hole a little bit more so the water could get out. Seeing as how it was a manufactures problem from the start, Keystone did send up new parts to be replaced allthough I have to pay the labour. Hopefully now we can enjoy some camping next year without any problems. Maybe this can help you solve your leaking if you haven't already found it.

Robert, Welcome to the forum. If it is your Black water tank leaking it will have nothing to do with the shower or sink as they drain to the gray water tank. Only the toilet goes to the black tank and is usually a straight drop or a slight bend (two 45° elbows) with 3" pipe directly into the tank. Locate the 3" pipe under your toilet and that will show where the tank is. There are three connections to this tank ... Toilet ... Vent ... and dump-valve. The first two are on top and will only leak when tank is almost full (or traveling), the dump can leak anytime. If not leaking from one of these connections there is a hole in the tank like Bob mentioned above. Hope this helps, Hank

On my Raptor the vanity sink drains to black water. That was one of the things on my list to be corrected during warranty. Factory told dealer that was the only way these could be done. One day I will see if I can change it but till then live with it.

I found out my outdoor kitchen sink drains into the black tank. After thinking about it, it would help relieve the fast filling grey tank.

That should have been paid for totally by the factory... It is a build defect that just did not show up for 3 years.... Boo Keystone
