Heater differential Temp?

Used the heater in my new Passport 2810BH last weekend. If the differential temp was set to 2 degrees everything seemed to work fine. It just began to feel chilly before it came on again. If I set it to 1 degree differential we would hear a bunch of clicking in the A/C and heater before it would finally come on. Sometimes it would come in for about 5 seconds and then cut off. Any suggestions? Is it working right?

Works the same on our PP, I just set it back to the original setting. Could not stand the clicking.
