Mattress

I have had two different 2013 Raptor 300mp TH's. The first one had a mattress that was really comfortable and firm. The one we are in now has a really soft mattress. Can't believe they are both so different. We tried a memory foam mattress topper and it just didn't do it for us. Anyone have a good suggestion for a replacement. It's a queen short.

Not sure of availability in your area but we have "The Original Mattress Factory" here in SE Virginia. They make their mattresses locally and will custom make any they sell for an additional $50. Not sure if they take orders and/or deliver long distances, but you might just give it a try anway. All they can do is say no.... Right!!

If not, Do some searching around your area and see if any mattress factories are open to custom orders.

DMK- We have a new Impact 311. We have the same issue. Ours will get replaced with one from Camping World. We bought a mattress from them two years ago for our TT. Sadly, that great mattress was part of the trade in when we got this new TH. It came rolled up-in a long box. We opened it inside the camper-on the bed per instructions. Within 24 hours it was fully expanded and served us very well. They aren't cheap, but if you have storage under the bed-most household mattresses will be too heavy for the arms to support the weight.

Look for a company called Verlo in your area. You can go there, lay on about 30 different beds, and then they'll make the one you want in short queen size. The mattress we bought is much more comfortable than our Stearns & Foster at home.

PPL RV just had their RV sleep number beds on sale, we decided the time was right to upgrade because the stock king bed is horrible.

Not sure if you have room for a regular queen but we went to our local furniture store and bought a pillow top scratch and dent matress and have hade it in several campers and it is very comfortable.

We threw our factory mattress away after sleep on it one trip. Ordered a Brentwood Olympic queen of of Amazon. It's sized between a king and queen at 66" wide. A little pricy but well worth the investment. It freed up a little room in the bedroom and still gives you plenty of space to sleep on.

Update: We actually took the sleep number bed from our S & B and installed it in our Raptor when the house sold. Now it sleeps better than ever! Just needed to put a couple of holes in the plywood towards the head of the bed for the air tubes and mounted the pump underneath on the slide out under the bed.
