Furnace Electric Element addition?

Has anyone had any experience adding an Electric Heating Element to furnace Box to save on Propane?
I also think the Electrical option would help ducting more heat to Garage area for kids.

The issue I see is the fact that where you would have to install the heating element is where the flame would be. Some A/C models have an option to add a heat strip, that might be a better option.

I have no experience with this but this company claims to have an add on system.

http://www.rvcomfortsystems.com

Maybe someone else on here has some experience with it.

Yes, Thank You! rvcomfortsystems is the one I did read about. Before I invest I would like to hear some positive feedback besides the salesman!

If I'm reading right on the FAQ page, you don't add this system. It replaces your LP system. To quote them you "get either, not both".

That is not the case....."either, not both". What is being referred to in that statement is about the stand alone unit that they make.

The most popular system is one that is added onto your existing propane furnace. The only requirement is that your blower must be working and in good working condition.

We looked at adding this to our previous fifth wheel when we were going to full time. The dealer we talked with simply gave the indication that they did not want to do the install because it was to extensive for them. Talking with other full timers that had it installed liked the option and effective way it saved propane and minimizing the task to remove and refill propane tanks.

This may not be a cheap option due to the time consuming install at a dealer but it would be a much better option to providing consistent heat through out the entire coach.

Thanks for the clarification. I am using a tablet and when I touched the "products" tab, it didn't drop down the first time to show the different products.

The price looks a bit high IMO, but I don't think the install would be very difficult.

Added a heat strip to AC and installed 1500w heater into the dinette bench right under it, camped in 23degrees last week, both working together were able to keep temperature around 68-70F, you get roughly little bit over 10000btu
