Propane Regulator

Hello All
In May i was out for a weekend, and had no heat, the furance would start up,then shut down immediatley,The fridge worked enroute, the hot water was
luke warm, stove had low flame,I just noticed the auto switch over on the regulator was showing no propane, the tanks were full,so i replaced the regulator,it switches from red to green, when the propane is on.Afer doing this
i wandered if mybe this had something to do with the furnace,so this morning i went out turned the furance on,furnace kicked on,set thermostsat to 85 degrees, furnace continued to run and was blowing heat out of the vents.Could the regulator have been the issue, because of course i couldnt get in for service until aug 4th.dont know if i should keep the appointment
and possibly pay a large service bill if not needed..
As always everyones replies are very helpful, and appreciated..
thanks in advance

If all the LP appliances are operating as designed now, I would cancel the appointment. Some regulators were the subject of a recall, you can check here:

For a five or six year old regulator, it's very possible that it just failed and replacing it is what a tech would have done anyway. We are on our second regulator and we full time, so they don't necessarily last forever.
