Hello all

Hello everyone

I am new to this site but not new to camping forums. A little history about me….Husband and I along with our 4 kids have been camping in a pop up for about 12 years and we were tent campers before that. As much as we like the pop up, our kids are out growing it, especially my son who cannot fit in the bunk end and sleeps in a tent. Our tow vehicle is a suburban, which fits our large family quite well. We have played with the idea of getting a travel trailer and have looked at many Jayco’s. Recently we attended an RV show and looked at a Keystone. This is where I fit in on this forum. Hopefully you all will bare with me and all my questions I have 😊

Welcome to the forum from upstate NY. There is allot of good info in this site and https://www.rv.net/forum/

We have owned 4 keystone products - no major issues with them. They are all made around the same area in Indiana and have similar quality programs. Check out the reputation of the dealer you purchase it from. Try to buy local because you will need warranty work if you purchase a new RV.

Find the plan you like then verify your tow vehicle can handle it. Good luck on your search. Prior to purchasing our last 2 fifth wheels I checked every RV site for the floor plan we wanted and then found a dealer that had the RV.

As stated the dealers service department is the key to the entire deal, you can negotiate a sales price you can live with at any dealer for any brand, but if it sits on their lot for months "waiting on authorization" or "waiting on parts" (just FYI, the 1st time you hear that call Keystone directly, it's a famous dealer excuse) during your prime camping season then maybe it wasn't such a good deal. This is not just Keystone, but EVERY rv dealer, manufacturer, make, model or price.

excuse? Excuse me but it's not an excuse, but fact. There is a process that has to be followed, and often times it's NOT the dealer but the FACTORY that drags their feet...I know first hand.
