Angry Slide out roof bubbles from cable motor oil leaking

This was my original post ona facebook forum for Keystone TH’s. Recieved 5 responces with others having same issue, looked at mine this am and i am one of them too. Beware

Asking for a friends who is not on Forum. Carbon TT/TH with 3 slides and all 3 slides have a bubbling issue on roof. After further investigation, he saw the bubbles are under the slide motor (cable system) and they have a slow oil drip from motor. Odd that it is all three. Anyone have/seen this before? Got an appt in a couple weeks, but know how Keystone fights. Any advice i can pass on is appreciated, any questions i will ask him and respond

2 of the posters said keystone did agree to fix, both said fix was to put a drip pan under motor, 1 got a roof patch other got whole new roof.

If you have cable slides, i would peak at the roof under motor when closed

slide roof oil issue

I have the same issue on my 2018 Cougar, can you please send me the link to the facebook page with discussion on this? My camper is 15 months old-I have no idea if it is still in warranty? Any help greatly appreciated!

Clean the oil from the gearbox. Clean the affected roof thoroughly with Dawn. Ask the DW for an aluminum foil miniature loaf pan. Fit the pan up under/around the gearbox and secure with a cable tie
