2014 Sprinter 311BHS

Hi
My wife Deb and I purchased a used 2014 311 bunkhouse travel trailer along with our daughter and her young family.
It is a beautiful and very roomy tt and we love it.
We had a 2009 Coachmen Freelander 23BB. It was a great RV but was a bit small and had no slides.
We have not purchased a tow vehicle yet but are renting for now and will be deciding in spring on the tv.
Looking forward to this forum and to seeing more of Canada and the US.

Welcome to the forum from SE Texas! Be sure you keep all aspects of the TV in relation to the TT as you shop around. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer.

When looking for a truck keep in mind that you will need a substantial tow vehicle. The weight of that trailer is 10,995 gvw with a dry hitch of 835. You will need more than a 1/2 ton to carry it safely and conveniently (be able to carry what you want). Also, my personal guideline is that you want/need a diesel for anything over 10,000 lbs. A gas engine can pull it, but despite what anyone says, when you are over 10k you are going to really work the engine when traversing mountains and hills - no matter which gas engine you have. Good luck in finding the right one. If you have questions ask away and someone will definitely give you their opinion.
