SteadyFast Stabilizer installed
I just finished up my SteadyFast Stabilizer install. It took me almost exactly 3 hours from start to finish and this thing is AWESOME!!! First, the kit arrived very quickly. I opened it up and was very amazed at the packaging. There was a separate bag of nuts, bolts and washers for every step and each bag was labeled with what they're for and the amount. This kit is not some cheap thin tubing and brackets. It is nice and thick and heavy duty and powder coated. The directions were as easy as you could get with it. I advise anybody to read them over a few times to get familiar with what your about to get into.
Once installed, I had the wife get in the bed while I walked into the camper and walked around while the stabilizers were not engaged and then did it again while they were engaged and she was very impressed. I did the same while she walked in and around and even had here shake around the inside and had to ask her if she was shaking it. It definitely lives up to the claim of getting rid of 90 to 95% of the shake. I'm extremely impressed. The kit was $269 shipped to my door from their site. I will post some pictures tomorrow with some daylight. Got too late today. http://www.steadyfast.com/

I installed mine last august. Very easy to install and what a huge difference. Biggest problem is drilling thru the frame. I ended up using a long 2x6 to work like a drill press.

I was also impressed with the fact that the proprietor even gave his own cell phone number for any questions or concerns. Never heard of that before.

Very happy with mine a year after install. Nice not to wake up to a shake bc the dog rolled over in the middle of the night

Nice writeup. If it didn't cost so darned much to get stuff up here I would have SF also. My own works very well at a fraction of the cot but there was a large labor component

Thank you. I always appreciated when someone else does it so I thought I would return the favor. Makes it easier to spend the money when you feel more confident that it will work.
It stinks that it costs so much for shipping up there. I remember when I shipped a couple things up there and was shocked at how much it costs.

I installed these a few years back they work great, I know there are a few others on the market that do the same thing, the reason i bought these is they are easy to use. I have them on my 5er. The front ones work great the one on the back only takes about 80 to 85 % of sway out and thats because of the type of stablizing jacks i have on the back. I still highly recomend these they do work well.

I installed the front one 2 years ago and it worked so well that I haven't gotten around to the back one yet.

I have them on my Cougar. My daughter liked them so much she got her husband a set for fathers day last year. He is enjoying them too with a 3 year old running around in the camper.
Took me a little longer than 3 hours but I took my time and spent time gathering the tools I needed from my shed.

We don't use that brand but any permanently aftermarket stabilizing system will offer so much stability and make for happy campers. We've used ours for 9 years of fulltiming and would never be without them. Hugs, Di

I purchased the SteadyFast for my first trailer. I was so impressed that I removed it when I sold it and bought the 5er. Yes, it takes a bit of work, but well worth it! I was also impressed that the fellow that owns/manufactures the kit gave his phone # if you had any questions.

We installed the BAL stabilizer arms on both front corners of our Cougar. They made the 5er rock solid. We liked how they work so much that I removed them from the Cougar when we traded and re-installed them on our new rig. The Laredo has the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 but there was still quite a bit of "wiggle" at the landing gear. Rock solid now. Bought them on sale at CW for something like $67 a set.
