Ever seen anything like this?
Ever seen anything like a Stinger Hitch buddy? I saw one the other day attached to a truck, and thought huh wonder if it works? Would be nice to have on a new F150 with the Ecobeast, take the load off the back with a 1/2 ton while still being able to pull alot. Curious if anyone has seen/used/ or has one?

Yeah, we can see you blasting up and down the Colorado mountains with your new-found toy, smiling from ear to each. No, really I’m jerking your chain. You couldn’t park that in my driveway.

I wonder what the speed rating is on those little tires.

I can see it now! That's how they'll market it, "you can tow ANYTHING you want with WHATEVER you have with one of these little jewels!".
Sorry, but in my opinion there's no substitute for the right truck to do the job & that little POS ain't gonna git'er done!

I had a boat trailer with 8" wheels "once upon a time" I burned up bearings every summer with that thing. Trust me when I say 8" wheels spin much faster at 70MPH than "high speed bearings" want to turn.... That "gadget" might work to carry part of the load, but what are the ratings? How long has it been tested/used? Is there any history of reliability? Any long term testing?
I think I'd be skeptical and will let somebody else do the buyin and tryin.......

Without weight distribution I don't see it helping in sending any extra braking to the front wheels (80% of braking) of an already too light TV. Relying on trailer brakes in emergency stopping could be suicidal. ....... May be good for moving heavy trailers in storage lots but I would not trust it on the highway. JM2˘, Hank

I had never heard of it before, so had to go looking. Not my cup of tea, that’s for sure.
There’s an “article” written out on agweb about someone’s test drives with it. Personally, I think the guy is a little delusional, or was paid a lot for the review. He was talking about using it with horse trailers, travel trailers, and slide-in campers. While trying it with a horse trailer he was happy because he could take corners faster on the winding Colorado backroads - I don’t know a person hauling horses that wants to fly around corners with the horses in their trailer... Slide-in camper? Don’t know that I’d ever want to see how a 1/2 ton truck would handle a newer truck camper...even with extra little wheels...

One word... Oh hell no. O.K., that's three words, but you get the point.

Watch the “long long Trailer”. Back in the 50s and early 60s they used so like this all the time.

I just thought it was interesting that's all, and realistically a good idea. Didn't say it was built right, but it has some good thoughts and ideas.

This thing looks great! Only needs a few improvements. Just add another, steerable axle, a seat, a steering wheel, and a diesel engine. Viola!

You beat me to it - I was going to say the same thing! The 1954 movie calls it a "slip dolly" and this big trailer was towed by a 1953 Mercury that had a trailer brake controller installed in the car.

This is what y'all wanted to know but were too polite to ask:
"Depending on options and customizations, the Automated Safety Hitch System could range in price from $10,000 to $11,000, including everything needed (such as a customized class five hitch rated for 30,000 pounds) for your vehicle to pull your trailer."

Unfortunately there will be some slick salesman that will sell one of these to some poor unsuspecting folks to pull a 30k trailer with their F150 EgoBoost.
