I had to replace 2 of them in a Tiffen Class A motorhome. I don’t have a lot of good things to say about them. Your mileage may vary.

It looks pretty nice, but I cannot stop laughing at the measurements! I am not sure, if they were not sure or just kept hitting the wrong key

thought i found a good solid solution...

most of what i read on airstream etc is they were good
what were the problems you have seen?

also considered a manual one instead of gas , but i dont know how heavy it would be to lift the table- probably not a lot worse than trying to put the 2 poles in and balance the table by myself..

so what about the snap 2 folding table base, a lot cheaper but was thinking not as stable

the snap 2 or something similar comes in some rvs right?

the table is a hassle with the rear bed set up and i would love to find a solution for lifting/lowering it

Probably due to elevation (pressure) changes, which is not a consideration in boats...unless you trailer it to Tahoe.

Actually they were new. Only driven from factory in Alabama to the Bay Area. Not used in transit as far as I know. Only significant altitude change would be coming over the Sierras.

the gas strut going out was a concern of mine also so i wrote the company last nite asking of there were replacement parts etc

the pedestal comes with a 5 year warranty but there are no repairable parts on it

they did say there were not many reports of problems with them

for $275 if it worked and last 5-6 years i would probably be happy, because i am very unhappy with the set up as it is

actually i will probably sell the trailer for a bigger one before that happens anyway

will keep the old stuff so someone can change it back if they want

if i install this will let everyone know how it goes

Getting around to this project and doing more research came across a table called the dicor cosmo

Does anyone have experience with the cosmo? Think it is just as expensive but might be a good option

I'm guessing that you're looking for a way to use your dinette table for eating and also for sleeping? If so, Keystone used a folding table base in the Springdale line for a few years. I'm not sure if they still use it or if it's now been replaced by something different. We had it in our Springdale fifth wheel and it seemed to work well both as a table and as a part of the bed platform. Additionally, since it's a free standing unit with the tabletop attached, it can be used outside if desired. We never did that, it was too much hassle to unload it and then take it back inside later in the day, but it was an option for outside use.

I considered the snap 2 table, how did it work for you?
It is a whole lot cheaper
did not see a lot of good reviews on it, some people said it wasn’t stable etc. and I think some people replaced it with this Marine table

If it worked well for you and was easy to put up and down it might be worth trying just because of the price

My issue is is that I am traveling for work with this travel trailer and it has the rear bed slide that comes over the couch and dinette

putting the two legs on and balancing the table by myself to put it together/apart every three days is a major hassle, knew before buying the trailer I would be replacing that set up with something else

Think I’m going to start a thread on that dicor Cosmo table since everyone may not read this one
Almost think I would like it better but not sure that I can find it anywhere

Just my $0.02, but our camper came with the table base that JRTJH showed in the picture. I hated it. My shins and knees still hurt to think about it. Every time I got in or out, I would hit my knee/ shin on a piece of metal under there. After 2 summers of that, the Springfield 3 stage with the gas strut was a Christmas present. I installed it the next spring, and have loved it since. The kids and hubby love it too because there is more room for 4 sets of feet under the table, and no abuse of knees, etc from the table frame. For me, the Springfield is also easier to raise/ lower than the original it came with. FWIW - we got it from Walmart online (was the least expensive place selling them at the time) and it has worked perfectly since I installed it. Also, this Springfield has now camped in MN, up in Glacier Park, Yellowstone, and the Big Horn Mtns. Elevation made no difference in how it worked.

Do I understand from the listing that this leg locks only at three preset heights, not continuous? So I would have to assure myself that the lowest setting precisely matches the "kiddie bed" mode for my dinette set?

I think the lowest one is the lowest one you can do

It is even with my dinette seats although I don’t use it as a bed so if it is a little off I may not have noticed, but my rear slide comes over that and it is fine

Not sure if you can lock the levers in between or if it will damage it, I am using mine all the way down and all the way up
Luckily for me that was right where I needed it

Someone else may can chime in on that and it would probably be smart to contact the company and see if that would hurt it

I can and have locked ours at whatever height I want. Of course, usually it is at the highest level for table height, but I have locked it at the lowest allowed by our dinette for travel, and also a couple of inches above that just because I was too lazy to push it all the way down. Has been working great since I installed it years ago. And still love it too!

This looks like a great table option, but it costs more that $400 now. That’s a little too rich for my blood, I’m not $400 worth of dissatisfied with my current table.
