Xrated, don't let her do it!! My wife and I started working as teens and we always talked about what we would do if/when we retired. We made a pact (because I was going to be in a position to bail first) that neither of us would retire without the other. And that's what we did; July 28, 2005 is the date we both formally retired. We staggered the retirement receptions that were given to us so we could attend the other's reception (I officed in another town) and then......adios! The newspapers did write ups and I had them note that we were both going on the same day (we thought it was kinda cool)........... On the other hand, you might just leave well enough alone and let DW go ahead and retire.....just to make life more fun? Easier? Better? I'm just kidding; I know she is excited and I'm sure you are too. I wish her and you the best in retirement.
