My 96 F250XLT crew cab has a wonderful 460 cid V8 and C6 automatic 3.77 rear end (memory) and I get 37 mpg even when towing! The F250 is very stylish!

(sorry, can't help myself in these type threads)

.

I had a 86 F350 crew cab with the 460 and it got 5 or 6 MPG whether it was sitting idling in the driveway or pulling a full load at 60 MPH. I only had it on gas for a year and then had it on propane with a 80 gal. tank for the next 3 years.

Talk about a stump puller !

Enough truck.

Yeah my ‘84 F250LB had a 460 on steroids in it. C6 with high stalk converter/ B&M shift kit.
Edlebrock performer intake
MSD 6a ignition with BlasterII coil
Full roller rockers
Comp cams 262 cam
Accudrive gear drive with cam set 3* advanced of crank
Headman headers with true dual 2 1/2”
7.7 MPG towing my old Jayco.

Had this 85 GMC for 4 yrs. Took a 454 and bored and stroked it to 489" it was a 4 spd w/Gear vendor OD and 4.56 gears. Pulled good but not as good as my 07 GMC diesel which replaced it.
