Theft is an assault on your space.

Someone broke into the home of one of the girls (is that a term I can use?) that works for the DW and stole, among other things, her husband's car and keychain.

A day or so later she saw someone driving it in the neighborhood and she let the cops know.

A week or two later the cops found it, in a parking lot, full of stolen property, smelling of BO and cologne.

She got it back, but the crooks still have the husband's keys, to the house and car.

I think I would take a few days off and wait for them to come back.

I'm sure they just need a hug and a job.

I am very sorry to hear about your Loss and grief posed upon you and your family due to the actions of a thief.
The real truth about Locks, Cameras and Security Systems is to help keep the honest people out.
A thief, burglar, theft by opportunity or just a down right out person that has no respect for the other person's personal property. They will invade your personal domain regardless of any security protocol. I believe they do not care if they get caught. Going to jail is probably like a paid vacation for them.

Before the web, the jail and prisons were where the got together and learned how to be better crooks, robbers, car thieves etc. In some places free medical and dental care. I delivered maybe several thousand to the jail, we call it the temporary storage unit. Yes, most do not care except their concern over being able to get high. And yes drugs make there way into the place.

Richard Pryor once said in one of his comedy albums (I'm not able to mention the name anymore) "A wino ain't afraid of nothin' but runnin' outta wine." Today, sadly, it is "A crackhead ain't afraid of nothin' but runnin' outta crack."

We haven't bought (our first camper) yet, but I was wondering how often thefts like this occur. What do you guys think?

OP’s last post to this thread was in May of this year. Before it’s starts down the wrong road, I think it may be best we leave it here.
