propane tank

Hi .. i have a cougar travel trailer - 2012 - new to me. Trying to take out the propane tank to fill it. it is at an angle that i can't get my hand in to disconnect it. are there any tricks here? Can the hose be replaced for a longer one so i can tip it to remove it? Hoping you have a trick for me!

welcome to the forum

If your referring to the "pig tail", the hose that goes to the regulator from the tank and has that large plastic nut on it, yes they come in different lengths. Only thing to pay attention to is the ends that go to the regulator. there are two styles, NPT and flare.

Best bet is to take one off to match. If its FLARE then NO TAPE OR SEALANT is used. If it's NPT then you must use YELLOW tape or thread sealant.
