Turned on the heat for the first time

Turned on the heat for the first time. It seems that the fan, even set to Auto, never goes off. In my old travel trailer the fan went off when the furnace went off.

Also, with the heat on there is air coming out of the ceiling ducts as well as warm air coming out of the floor vents. I've not seen that before. Usually all I got was warm air out of the floor vents.

Any thoughts? Is this normal?

On our 2017 Springdale the fan runs a good five minutes after shutting off the thermostat, but it does eventually go off.

Mine goes off to after turning off the thermostat completely. But with normal operation, doesn't the fan go off by itself when the furnace goes off? Otherwise what's the purpose of having a setting for fan on and fan Auto?

Normal operation for an RV furnace:
Fan starts, control board gets information that the fan is spinning fast enough.

Flame is applied and warm air is sent through ducting.

When "set temp" is reached, flame is shut off and fan runs for a prescribed period of time called "cool down".
"Fan" operation is for the fan in the AC unit on the roof.

Yep. That's exactly the way it used to run in my prior travel trailer, and that's how it runs in my house actually. But in this current unit, long after the furnace flame is shut off, that fan never stops running. Eventually it's time for the furnace flame to kick in again. The fan never stops. It runs all night.

Ok. With that thermostat push the left button until the fan icon appears.

Using the + or - button, press until "auto" appears.

Then press the left button until the furnace (heat waves) symbol appears. Should operate as described in previous post. If both the AC and the Furnace fan operate, then there is an issue.

The other thing is, there is a constant flow of unheated air coming off the ceiling units which I thought were only used for air conditioning. The floor vents have nice warm air coming up, but the ceiling vents constantly push unheated air around.

Innermusic, Dude, you can't be reacting like that with the monitor. Pretty soon he'll get the big-head and be asking for more money!
On a more serious note, glad you got it taken care of AND glad you posted the results.
