Elimination of RV antifreeze
I have been searching but have not found an answer. I have never used RV antifreeze and we just bought a new Cougar 33RBI. The lines have anti-freeze in them. CW said it is biodegradable and will not hurt us any, but how do I clean it all out of our lines.

Connect your RV to city water, run the faucets until they run clear, fill the fresh water tank, add Clorox (1/4 cup per 10 gallons of water), run each faucet until you smell the Clorox. Let it sit overnight, drain the fresh water tank, connect to city water, flush the lines again. You're set to go. If you still have an "off taste" you can add 1 cup of baking soda to the fresh water tank, let it sit an hour or so, drain and refill and you're good to go. Most people don't need to use the baking soda.

The dealer de-winterize ours and forgot to purge the anti-freeze out of the washer hookups. After setting for while the bathroom sink water would be a light shade of pink.

X2 on flushing washer hook up and I drain low point drains X2 to get antifreeze out. I would get a little antifreeze also out the bathroom sink after I thought I had it flushed out.

Some people would disagree. Propylene Glycol is the primary ingredient in typical RV antifreeze. Many coffee flavorings use Propylene Glycol as the sweetener.
Propylene Glycol is also used in other consumables and in cosmetics.
I have accidentally bought coffee flavoring with Propylene Glycol and had to throw it out.

It's really no big deal. Just flush out your lines with plain ol' water and you will be ready to go. You certainly don't need to go the bleach route... When you see no pink you are just fine. That's all there is to it. Keep It Simple...

Fresh water flushing using the low point drains, the water tank and pump and the city water connection until water runs clear should ensure your fresh water system is free of anti-freeze. Sanitizing with a little bleach at the beginning of each season is not a bad idea either. However, being a veteran of many business trips to Mexico and having suffered some occasional gastrointestinal gymnastics, I use bottled water for drinking and teeth brushing when hooked to campground water.

^lol agreed on the bottled water for brushing. I've never bothered with bleach after running city water through everything and draining low points.
We use RV antifreeze to winterize in-ground pool lines up here, so it has BETTER be safe!
