Battery isolator??

Not sure if I have found the right part or not, but in the keystone parts site, it looks like what is called a battery isolator (can't figure out how to add pics to this). It is located behind the battery on the front of the trailer. Mine is exposed to the elements and rusty. I'm wondering what their purpose is? and if I need to replace mine. At this point, I have battery power to the trailer, and charging seems to be fine both from the truck, and the shore-power.

Any advice.

I can't tell which is the battery feed...direction. Is this what you are looking at?

It appears the feeder is running on the bottom and a couple of peripheral taps? come off the top? It may not be a fuse at all but just a tap point. If I recall the fuses have their information written on the side. Primarily dealt with them on a boat but they're the same thing....

Those are not battery isolators, they are 12 VDC auto reset circuit breakers. Available at any RV parts/service department and usually at NAPA.

Here's a photo of what it looks like "when new". Typically there is the red plastic cover that fits over the terminal screws to protect the terminals from moisture and corrosion.

Thank you

I think you are right. I guess I will just keep an I on it. As long as all electrical systems are working, I won't "fix" them.
