Furnace question
Hi,
Upon inspection of the furnace compartment on my 2016 Passport UL, I’ve notice an electrical plug laying in there. There’s also an outlet in there. I’m not finding any info on this in my owners manual. Any help is appreciated.

Your furnace operates on 12VDC and burns propane as a heat source. That being said, what sort of appliances are in the same vicinity? Is your breaker/fuse panel close? It could be the plug for the converter. When your plugged into shore power, test the voltage AT THE BATTERY, if your not seeing 13VDC or better, then plug that plug in and recheck. Without being there, it’s hard to say what it’s for, I doubt it’s for the refer as that plug is usually in the outside access lower portion.
Look around, post pics and maybe we can solve the mystery.

The compartment is located very near the refrigerator. The fuse panel and converter are on the opposite side of the TT.

The photo you took is with the rear lower refrigerator vent removed. The plug is for your refrigerator 110VAC operation and the outlet is the white one that is on the lower left part of your photo. It must be plugged in for the refrigerator to operate on shore power, otherwise with the plug disconnected you'll only be able to operate on LP gas mode.
You'll notice a corrugated hose with a white plug in the end. There are three small holes in the white plug. That corrugated hose must be routed through the lower vent facing so it drips outside the RV. If you leave it as it is, all the condensation from your refrigerator interior will drip onto the OSB flooring in that space and eventually rot it out. So, plug it in, you'll see that your refrigerator operates on AC power and with the tubing installed through a space in the vent, you'll be ready to reinstall the lower refrigerator vent.
The plug and the outlet have nothing to do with your furnace (other than being close to it).

Thanks very much for the information! That explains why the refrigerator didn’t work when I tried using it on shore power. The vent was routed properly out through the vent cover.
