No brakes or tail lights on Alpine

Hooked up to fifth wheel after being in storage for a couple of months. No trailer brakes or tail lights. Have power on 7way at truck. Cleaned all connections. Cleaned pin on hitch and receiver to get a good ground. Nothing. 2015 Ram and 2016 Alpine. No previous issues at all. Any suggestions? Is there a separate fuse on fifth wheel for lights and brakes. Didn't see a fuse inside at main pannel.????

When I have had trailer light problems, I do just what you did but, also put die electric grease on the connections. Those will fix most problems, after that it must be a short. Where? could be anywhere. Did you get each lead from the truck plug end also?
Fuses would be in the truck.

Thanks for tip with the grease.
Yes I did check the leads on the truck side and all had power. Has to be from pigtail back. Worked just fine when I parked it. ????

You might open the junction box on your RV if you haven't already and check your connections there also.

Do you have running lights or power to battery from umbilical? If not, check that the ground on the trailer side of the umbilical plug has continuity with the trailer frame. The dielectric grease is a must IMHO. I keep a small tube of it in the truck whenever towing.

Thanks to all! Bought a tube of dielectric grease and it did the trick. I cancelled my service call and am now on the road, thanks to your recommendations. Hope to return the favor some day. Safe and happy trails to all.

That's great to hear, I always try to think of the easy way or thing to check 1st and sometimes that's all it takes.
