RV Roofover
I am in a 700+ space RV Resort in central Florida. This morning I woke up to the sound of many hammers going at it. The American Star behind us was getting a new roof. Six man crew 3.5 hours start to finish, they did Two units today. To give a few details they removed all side trim and all roof devices. What I was listing to was the removal of the Dicor sealant. The old roof was not removed, they applied the R-Tech 1/2" roof underlayment before the Commercial Grade rubber roofing. It was heat sealed down the center.
To back up a little after the 1/2" insulation they trimmed the sides with standard drip edging then applied the roofing over it letting it drop over the side. The roofing on the side was trimmed with the standard RV aluminum roof trim (under that protruding drip edge) and the vinyl cover applied. All new roof devices were installed. (reused the A/C units)
I am as curious as you, to find the cost. I will post as soon as I do.
The Prowler in the back is the second unit they did today.

Well if they got a commercial grade rubber roof then they got a roof that will last a lot of years. A commercial grade rubber is about 3-4 times as thick as the RV roofing material...not sure why RV manuf can't use the same stuff because its not that expensive and easy to work with.

I may be able to find this info out, At one point I had my eyeball on the label but did not see a brand. It was about 1/8" thick, white on top and black on the bottom with a definite reinforcement pattern. I talked with the guy that handled the removal and installation of the A/C and power vents (Retired Electrician). He follows this crew almost daily, as this is the RV crew. He told me that the factory RV roof needs cleaning and treatment every 6 months to prevent drying out and the commercial roof they installed requires no maintenance.

Further info, cost etc. would be beneficial. I pay well over $300 once or twice a year to clean/inspect my roof. No inspections/maintenance? I like that.

Look up RV Armor roofs, sprayed on onsite, never ever have roof issues again.

Wondering if it might be manufactured by Firestone, they are one of the biggest rubber roof suppliers, Johns Manville being another.
