Outback 28KSR slideout motor find

Can someone tell me where the kitchen slideout motor is on my 2008 Keystone Outback 28 KRS. Switch is good, power to switch, motor not making any noise or working. Thank you

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me. I peeled back the corrugated plastic and even cut into the plastic and still can't track down the motor. Its a rack pinion slide...I even called Keystone and they didn't even know where it was located. So any help/pics or sites as to where it is would be GREATLY APPRECIATED...

Thanks again

It seems that if it's a rack and pinion slide then the motor would have to be under the coach. I'm sorry I can't be more help

This is likely what you have and where the motor is located. https://support.lci1.com/through-fra...c-slide-system
You might have the 2 X 2 slide mechanism, but it’s essentially the same as the 2.5 X 2.5 slide mechanism in the link.

Here's another "guess at what you have"....

From the photos, it looks like a HappyJack slide system. It's not a "through the frame" design, but rather a "in the frame" design. The motor is mounted "inside the slide assembly" rather than "in the frame, beside the slide assembly" as it is in other designs...

There's a picture of the slide mechanism on the HappyJack website. It shows how and where the motor is mounted. My guess is, based on the design of the gear teeth in the slide ram photo that you posted, the motor is mounted to the front of the slide assembly, directly bolted to the forward ram, under the slide floor, but above the trailer floor and well above the coroplast. You might be able to see the motor by lifting the carpet skirt on the slide and using a flashlight to shine under the slide/above the trailer floor.

Here's the link to that picture: https://happijac.com/2011-08-15-13-57-08.html

Hi JRTJH

That's exactly right. I looked and FINALLY found it..its a beast to get at as the floor doesn't appear to have screws holding down that plank of wood..so I did a bit of demo..figuring I can worst case just replace that sheet of wood.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE TIME TO OFFER SOLUTIONS AND ASSIST ONE OF THEIR OWN TO FIX THEIR KEYSTONE.
