PDI Tomorrow

Greetings from sunny South Texas. My wife and I purchased a Sprinter 5er and plan to take delivery of it tomorrow. We are not new to RV's prior we had a 26' series Flagstaff travel trailer. We loved it but found it to be too crowded when we invited guests. We are about 10 yrs from retiring (Lord willing) so we thought we would get this 5th wheel game underway. We are looking forward to asking questions and reading about other folk's experience with their units. Thanks for having us, God Bless!

Congrats on your new Sprinter ! Enjoy !!

It is recommended you prepare for your PDI and take your time. If you do not have a check list, there is a general one on the forum that you can use as a start and add items specific to your model. Three to four hours should be allocated.

Be Safe and Happy Camping

Welcome to the site. Be sure to ask questions if you have them on your PDI.
The service tech who did ours was excellent. He even told us if we ever had a question that we could call the dealership and he would try to help us over the phone if he could.

Please keep us informed as to how your PDI went, Sounds like you are also building a relationship with the actual tech(s), which I found to be very beneficial for future dealer interactions.

I would be more concerned that they've allocated the time YOU need!!
DO NOT let them rush YOU, DO NOT sign ANY paperwork until you are completely satisfied with the condition & operation of everything.

Welcome to the forum, a long with your pdi checklist you need to take a good flashlight and small mirror for checking behind and underneath things.

Thank you all! The PDI went well and the technician was patient and thorough. Having already been an active RVer the process was easier. We spent time on the features specific to this coach. The entire process was approximately 2 hrs. We then headed to a local campground and begin unpacking the tubs we loaded our previous trailer contents. Amazingly we pulled two large tubs of “stuff” that we accumulated that was unnecessary or useless!

Thank you all and hope to “see ya around!”

Congratulations on Sprinter

We purchased our Sprinter 5er a little over a year ago for the same reasons. After having it on several local weekend trips, a couple trips to Florida, a long trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park, and a trip through Tennessee, I can tell you that we love ours! Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum. You will find a ton of info here and everyone is willing to help. Travel safe and happy camping.
