fixing broken outside ladder on 3912

at the last bike rally I broke my ladder. the bottom 2 rungs are below the mounting point. I installed a flag pole and leaned back on the bottom rung and the thin aluminum bent/broke. if this happens to you you can fix it by driving a 4+ ft piece of galvanized pipe inside the aluminum tubing, after you strip down to the bare tubing. 4 bolts and screws and it all comes apart. re-drill the holes and put er back together. it is heavier but much stronger. they rated it for 300 lbs. it will be now.
